Titans head to State

The Tea 16U baseball team qualified for the 2019 State A Department of South Dakota Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Baseball tournament after placing second during the VFW Southwest Region Tournament held the week of July 22 in Colton, SD.
Beresford-Alcester, Flandreau, West Central, Mobridge, Volga, Madison Gold, and Dakota Valley also qualified for the State A Tournament, which will be held Friday, Aug. 2 through Sunday, Aug. 4 at Dakota Valley School in North Sioux City, SD.
Tea is scheduled to play Madison Gold on Friday, Aug. 2 at noon. Opening ceremonies for the State Tournament will begin at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Friday, following game two (which has a start time of 2:30 p.m.)
The winner of the Tea/Madison Gold match-up will advance to continue play on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 5 p.m. and will face off against the winner of the Beresford-Alcester/Flandreau match-up. The loser will play Saturday at noon, against the loser of the Beresford-Alcester/Flandreau match-up.
The Championship game is scheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m.
Admission for the State Tournament is $5 per day for adults and $2 per day for High School students. Junior High and under are admitted free.
