Schnabel wins Vermillion Invite

On Thursday, Sept. 7 the Tea Area High School boys’ golf team found success at the Vermillion Invite with Tea Area’s Harper Schnabel claiming first place with a score of 74.
Schnabel shot a 35 on the front nine aided by two birdies and shot a 39 on the back, highlighted by one birdie.
Keeton Newborg finished with a score of 80 on the day. Newborg shot an 37 on the front nine and a 43 on the back. His day was highlighted with three birdies. Newborg finished in 19th place.
Derek Andersen finished with an 80 as well, hitting a 37 on the front nine and a 43 on the back. Andersen hit an eagle on hole 14. Andersen finished in 18th place. CJ Slack scored an 81, scoring a 40 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine to take 20th.
Brady Sabers shot an 85 (43, 42) to take 30th and Quintin Maag shot an 86 (39, 47) to take 35th.
