Tea Area School District to honor Veterans in annual ceremony
The Tea Area School District will hold a special ceremony to honor veterans on Monday, November 11, at 9:30 a.m. in the Tea Area High School Gym.
Veterans and community members are invited to join the school in celebrating the service and sacrifices made by members of the armed forces.
This year’s event will be led by Tea Area High School seniors Kassidy Wranek and Jonathan Schlunsen, who will serve as emcees. The program will also feature a performance by the Tea Area High School band, adding a musical tribute to the occasion.
Highlighting the ceremony, student speakers from Tea Area High School and Middle School will share their thoughts. These students participated in the VFW’s Voices of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen contests, which encourage young people to explore themes of patriotism and service.
For those unable to attend in person, the program will be streamed live on the Tea Area School District’s YouTube channel, allowing the broader community to participate. The livestream can be accessed at https://youtube.com/live/Q-YimPLkMxA?feature=share.
The Tea Area School District invites all veterans, families, and community members to join in recognizing those who have served and to honor the spirit of Veterans Day.
