Tea Area takes fourth at State Esports Tournament: Henrik Rimmer earns runner-up honors in Super Smash Bros.

The 2025 SDHSAA Esports State Tournament took place at Aberdeen Central this past weekend. More than thirty teams were represented.
The Tea Area High School Esports Team placed fourth overall at the state tournament.
Tea Area’s Henrik Rimmer placed second overall in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Jesee Wipf placed 23rd overall in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
The Titans’ League of Legends team consisting of Jonathon Schlunsen, Henrik Rimmer, Jaxon Johanneson, Benjamin Grunewaldt, and Vanessa Halling placed third overall.
