Titan boys defeat Yankton, Harrisburg

The Tea Area Titans varsity boys’ soccer team secured a decisive 3-1 victory over the Yankton Bucks on Thursday, August 29. Hudson Hadrick opened the scoring for the Titans with a spectacular left-footed shot into the top corner during the first half. Yankton managed to equalize shortly afterward, keeping the match tense.

However, the Titans regained the lead when Juv Banza showcased his skill, juking past the Yankton goalkeeper to score. Banza wasn’t finished; he added another goal, this time with a shot off the outside of his right foot, sealing the win for Tea Area.

Continuing their strong form, the Titans hosted Harrisburg on Saturday, August 31, and earned a 2-0 victory. Despite being short-handed due to injuries, Tea Area took a commanding 2-0 lead by halftime and held onto it for the win. Daylen McNelly struck early to put the Titans ahead, and Holden Del Monaco extended the lead with a well-placed header.

Looking ahead, the Titans will travel to Huron for a match on Thursday, September 5, at 6 p.m. They are set to face Sioux Falls Washington on Tuesday, September 10, before returning home on Saturday, September 14, to play against Sioux Falls Roosevelt.
