The Tea Area High School boys’ soccer team hosted Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Saturday, September 14, in a thrilling match that saw the Titans come out on top with a 2-1 victory.
Tea Area struck first at the 30:42 mark when Jonathon Howe found the back of the net, putting the Titans in the lead. Roosevelt managed to tie the game later on, setting up a tense finish.
With just 7:10 left in the game, Hudson Hadrick had a chance to break the tie with a penalty kick. Though the Roosevelt goalie made an impressive save, the ball deflected off the goalpost, and Hadrick capitalized on the rebound, securing the game-winning goal.
The Titans held off Roosevelt for the remainder of the match, earning a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
