Titan girls split games

Last week, the Tea Area High School girls hosted Sioux Falls O’Gorman and Pierre.
The Titans fell to the top ranked O’Gorman Knights on Feb. 4, 70-33, but bounced back on Feb. 8 in their match-up against Pierre, defeating the Governor girls 55-48.
Pierre led 20-15 at the end of the first quarter, but the Titans outscored Pierre 14-8 in the second and jumped ahead at the half, 29-28 on a last second lay up by Emma Lingren. Pierre had 25 turnovers in the loss. With the win, the Titans improve to 6-10. Against Pierre, three Titans were in double figures led by Lingren’s 13 points along with Kya Haynes putting in 12 and Jaycie Babb with 10.
