Titan golfers qualify for State

Three Tea Area High School girls’ golfers punched their ticket to the State A Meet after finishing in the top 27 at the Region 2A Meet held at Elk Point.
Izzy McNaughton led the way for the Titans with a sixth place finish, after shooting an 84 on the day. McNaughton shot a 43 on the front nine and a 41 on the back.
Also qualifying for State was Abby Munson who shot an 85 at Regions. Munson shot a 41 on the front nine and a 44 on the back. Her day was highlighted with a birdie on the front nine.
Tea Area’s Sophia McNaughton was able to secure her spot at State, finishing in 27th place with a 99 (50, 49). Also competing at Regions for Tea Area were Taylor Lowe who shot a 107, and Elizabeth Mehlbrech who shot a 128.
The State A Meet will be held at Bakker Crossing Golf Course, June 3-4.
