Titan softball team goes undefeated

The Titan varsity softball was in action this past Sunday, Sept. 25 taking on Sioux Falls and Edgerton, MN in Tea.
Addisyn Hansen started on the mound for the Titans against Sioux Falls with Lydia Decker coming in on relief to help secure the 17-5 win.
Hansen allowed two hits over 1.1 innings, recording two strikeouts. Decker allowed three hits over 1.2 innings, recording two strikeouts.
The Titan bats were hot with 14 hits in the game, including a double by Morgan Sehr and home runs by Kalli Boom and Icis Muilenburg.
In their second match-up of the day against Edgerton, MN Emily Froendt handled pitching duties earning the 7-5 win. Froendt allowed eight hits over six innings, recording seven strikeouts.
The Titans racked up 12 hits with doubles by Abby Boom and Abby Nelson and a triple by Morgan Sehr.
With the two wins, the Titan varsity team ended their regular season with a 10-0 record. The team will start their State championship run this Saturday, Oct. 1, at 3:30 p.m. on Field B at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls.
“Come out to Sherman Park on Saturday and cheer these ladies on,” said head coach Matt Hansen.
The Titan middle school teams began their quest for a championship this past Sunday, Sept. 25 in Sioux Falls. Tea Somsen and Tea Turek both went 2-0 to earn spots in the winner’s bracket this coming Sunday, Oct. 2. Tea Somson will play at 11:20 a.m. on Field 8 at Dunham Park. Tea Turek will also play at 11:20 a.m. on Field 5 at Dunham Park.
“Please come out and cheer on these young ladies as they continue their championship run,” added Hansen.
